Internships are a valuable opportunity to test-drive a career path you’re interested in. Plus, you’ll gain new connections, references and professional skills—all important for landing your first job after college.

100% of Nichols College students complete at least 1 credit-bearing internship or experiential learning opportunity. In many cases, our students have gone from intern to full-time employee.

Our faculty may connect you with opportunities and companies in the field. Or our Career and Professional Development Center (CPDC) can work through established relationships it has with a range of entities. Our students have also completed international internships through our Office for International Engagement as well as internships in Washington, D.C. at The Washington Center through our Fischer Institute.

Other Models For Internship

You may also engage in experiential learning projects as an alternative to a traditional internship. These are unique learning opportunities performed outside the classroom that blend academic learning, professional experience and personal reflection. Designed to fit with your major area of study or career interests, these projects are organized as a 3-credit course and are guided by a faculty member.
