Neagle publishes op-ed on presidential election in Telegram & Gazette

Mike Neagle, Ph.D., professor of history at Nichols College, penned an op-ed published by the Worcester Telegram & Gazette, “Three currents that carried Trump to presidency.” 

In the piece, Neagle examines what was to many a surprising victory by Donald Trump over Kamala Harris, challenging surface-level explanations about Harris’ campaign strategy. The piece delves into three historical trends that shaped voter behavior, arguing that these enduring currents, and Trump’s leverage of them, secured his win.
