Nichols business faculty featured in WalletHub
Assistant Professor of Accounting & Finance Karin Curran, M.B.A., was featured in WalletHub, a personal finance company and website, as one of the experts for their article on budget-friendly celebrations for New Year’s Eve.
Curran offered many budget-savings tips for the big night, when establishments are known to hike prices. “Prices go up on NYE and you may end up spending close to double what it would cost normally. As nice as it is to book a hotel for two or three nights, making the most of one night will be a big money saver,” she said. Another tip? If you’re also looking to save on Christmas gifts for friends, she said, “Rather than buying more ‘stuff’ for friends, the trip itself or part of it can be the Christmas gift. Experiences will stay with you forever and your time together is the most important.”
