Funda Sarican
Dr. Funda Sarican is an accomplished professional with a diverse background in Business Analytics, research, and teaching. Holding a Ph.D. in Business Analytics from Bentley University, she has passionately blended her analytics expertise with her teaching dedication. Her research endeavors are primarily focused on the sharing economy, specifically exploring the multifaceted dynamics influencing pricing within this innovative landscape.
Before joining Nichols College, Dr. Sarican held the position of Senior Data Scientist at Dell EMC, gathering over a decade of experience in advanced data analytics and visualization. In this role, she played a pivotal part in enhancing Dell EMC’s global business operations through the application of advanced analytics and harnessing the power of big data. Notably, her insights-driven approach empowered informed decision-making across the organization.
Her professional journey started with the role of a strategic analyst at a Marketing Agency, MullenLowe. Here, she harnessed her analytical prowess to shape advertising and marketing strategies for clients through the application of advanced analytics.
Dr. Sarican also holds a Master of Science in Marketing Analytics from Bentley University, where she additionally specialized in Quantitative Methods for Business Decisions. Before her advanced degrees, she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the State University of New York and Istanbul Technical University.
