At the Career and Professional Development Center, you’ll find the tools and resources you need to find the right job, and the right career. Plus, you’ll get help with presenting yourself on paper, in person, and online. And as a graduate, you’ll get it all for life.

Whether you need to find an internship, a career-related on-campus position, or full-time employment, we’ll help you every step of the way. Services include internship and career planning, skype-capable on-campus interview suites, and our Bison Boutique, where you can sign out brand-new interview attire for a professional look in a pinch. Throughout the school year, you’ll get to meet employers both on and off campus in a number of ways. All you have to do is stay connected in your major, across campus and at the CPDC so you’re in the loop on upcoming events and opportunities—and be ready to shine when it’s time.

Plus, through programs such as our Career and Internships Fair, which is attended by more than 70 employers, and program-specific fairs such as our Accounting & Finance Career and Internship Fair, you’ll get to meet and network with many well-known companies and organizations. Last year’s career fair included employers like The Kraft Group, State Street, Federal Bureau of Investigate – Boston, and more.

Here at Nichols, you’ll learn how to network, and you’ll find we offer many networking opportunities. We believe it’s never too early to start working on and benefitting from this key skill—so we want to make sure you know what it’s all about.

The CPDC offers networking programs throughout the year. At our Annual Sophomore Shout Out, you can hear from and meet alumni and build contacts for internships. During our Career Exploration Nights, you’ll get access to a panel of alumni who know the hiring process. And at our Annual Etiquette Dinner, you’ll learn the ins and outs of table etiquette as you dine and network with 16 external contacts. And that’s just a sample.
