The average debt at graduation is $37,000.

What you need to know About Financial Aid

  • Nichols requires only one financial aid form for applying for financial aid: The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). FAFSA information determines your eligibility for all federal, state and institutional need-based financial aid.
  • Be sure to include the school code for Nichols College (002197).
  • You can file your FAFSA anytime after January 1. Our priority deadline is March 1.
  • Filing your FAFSA after March 1 can affect the amount of financial aid you receive. Late applicants may miss opportunities for certain sources of aid.
  • Students must complete all financial aid application requirements to receive financial aid. Also, students must be enrolled at least half time and maintain satisfactory academic progress including a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  • Students must apply for financial aid annually by renewing their FAFSA.
  • Your financial aid package may include a combination of federal and state financial options and institutional (Nichols) scholarships and grants, including:
    • Merit Scholarships
    • Incentive Grants
    • Federal Work Study
    • Federal Student Loans
